Bartolomeo Appointed Chairman of ASCE’s Industry Leaders Council

Pennoni is pleased to announce that firm President and CEO Tony Bartolomeo, PE, has been appointed chair of the American Society of Civil Engineers’ Industry Leaders Council (ILC). He was welcomed to the position by the former chair, Jim Rispoli.
The ILC brings together leaders from the public and private sector to discuss trends and issues in the civil engineering profession and work with the American Society of Civil Engineers to formulate policy to help drive the civil engineering industry forward. The council serves as a strategic advisor in identifying emerging trends and developing strategies that promote innovation and strengthen project productivity, quality, and performance in the built and natural environment.
Mr. Bartolomeo has more than 35 years of experience in environmental engineering, coupled with broad experience in the relationship development among the federal, state and local government levels, all of which have a stake in the success of major civil infrastructure projects. He has integrated the engineering and financial aspects of major projects into the legal, regulatory and community objectives, to the benefit of Pennoni’s diverse client base. Mr. Bartolomeo is a licensed Professional Engineer in several states, and is a Civil Engineering graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Bartolomeo is chairman of the American Council of Engineering Companies’ Design Professionals Coalition; chairman of the World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia; chairman of the Pennsylvania Environmental Council; and vice chairman of the Industry Leaders Council of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Mr. Bartolomeo served on the Governor’s Marcellus Shale Advisory Commission for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, as well as having served as a member of Governor Corbett’s Transition Team for Transportation and Infrastructure.
