Heather Ham, PE, Attains National Design Build Certification

Pennoni is pleased to announce that Heather Ham, PE, has successfully completed the requirements for the nationally recognized Associate Designated Design-Build Professional™ certification (Assoc. DBIA™) by the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA). Ms. Ham currently serves as the Office Director for Pennoni’s Norfolk location.
The Assoc. DBIA™ certification demonstrates a commitment to design-build done right. Individuals holding the Assoc. DBIA™ certification have mastered the best practices associated with the entire design-build process from project procurement through post-award. Both A/E/C firms and public agencies train personnel from a variety of disciplines and departments in the best practices developed by DBIA. Examples of design-build projects Ms. Ham has been involved with include the Quantico Consolidated Elementary School, the C-5 Formal Training Unit Facility, and the X-132 Building Renovations of the Norfolk Naval Base.
DBIA was founded in 1993 in response to the emergence of design-build and integrated project delivery as a significant force in the design and construction industry. From its headquarters in Washington, DC, and network of chapters throughout the U.S., the Institute provides a forum for all participants in the design-build process, owners and practitioners alike.
