Trail, Structure, and Signal Design for Pomeroy and Newark R...

The Pomeroy and Newark Rail Trail is a 1.75 mile pedestrian trail in the City of Newark near the University of Delaware Campus.  The trail was a cooperative effort of the City of Newark, DelDOT, University of Delaware and Delaware State Parks.  The multi-use trail was designed to revitalize the alignment of the Historic Pomeroy Railway and incorporate features and attributes from the Railway.  The trail provides a critical connection to the local public transportation network, including the new Newark Transit Hub, White Clay Creek Park, University of Delaware, and the existing James F. Hall Trail.
