Columbia Division Manager Recognized by Regional Organization
COLUMBIA, MD – Environmental Division Manager, Graeme Lake, PE was recently named chairman of the Chesapeake Section of the American Water Works Association (CSAWWA) and recipient of the 2015 Carl J. Lauter Award, as presented by CSAWWA, at the 2015 Tri-Association Conference, held in Ocean City, MD.
In this new role as chair, Lake will oversee the activities of CSAWWA and its 1000 members and 28 committees. Covering Delaware, Maryland and District of Columbia, CSAWWA is dedicated to promoting public health and advancing the technology, science, and government policies behind public drinking water and water resources.
The Carl J. Lauter Award is presented to a CSAWWA member who has provided outstanding service to the section. The recipient is selected annually by the Lauter Award Committee. Lake, who joined the American Water Works Association (AWWA) in 1995, has held numerous positions with CSAWWA, including committee chair for the Water Distribution Committee, trustee, assistant secretary-treasurer, secretary treasurer, and chair-elect for the organization.
Lake has been with Pennoni for 21 years, and has worked on the design of many miles of water and sewer pipelines, pipeline inspections, condition assessment, and rehabilitation for more than 140,000 feet of pre-stressed concrete steel cylinder pipeline.
