Pennoni Named 2016 Outstanding Employer by ASCE
Pennoni, a multidisciplinary firm headquartered in Philadelphia, has been awarded the 2016 Outstanding Employer Recognition Award by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Committee on Younger Members (CYM). This recognition is given to outstanding employers who support early career professionals and encourage their involvement in Society activities.
“Pennoni’s dedication to young civil engineers through technical development and continuing education supports ASCE’s goals of developing people, advancing the profession of civil engineering, and serving the public good,” said Leslie Payne, director of student and younger member programs at ASCE.
“Pennoni offers its young civil engineers the opportunity to further their education, technical development, community involvement, and professional growth. The ASCE CYM Outstanding Employer Recognition Award is a testament to these offerings, and highlights Pennoni's commitment to developing civil engineer leaders that serve the public good,” says Tim Abel, EIT. Tim chose to submit Pennoni as a candidate for the award.
Pennoni puts employees first, which is evident by the firm’s corporate culture. The firm offers benefits and programs that encourage professional development and educational advancement. Pennoni offers employees the opportunity to further their education by paying for the cost of licensure exams and covering the full cost of professional society and section dues. Tuition reimbursement is one of the exceptionally competitive and generous benefits of working for Pennoni.
“Our approach is simple. Respect, trust, and confidence are built; relationships are developed; and mutual success is achieved,” said Pennoni President and CEO Anthony Bartolomeo. “Our employees are at the heart of this firm and this recognition indicates that.”
