Fred D. Ameen, Jr., PE, DPE, LEED Green Associate
Fred D. Ameen, Jr., PE, DPE, LEED Green Associate, serves as Associate Vice President in the firm’s Leesburg, VA office. Fred has over 35 years of experience in land development engineering, 25 of which has been in Loudoun County, VA, and surrounding jurisdictions. His experience ranges from supervising and designing construction plans for commercial, industrial, data center, and residential projects to reviewing plans for compliance with jurisdictional requirements, constructibility, and value engineering.
Fred has been a critical player in negotiating approvals with local agencies and making presentations at public hearings. He also has extensive experience in implementing low impact development practices into developed sites. His extensive experience provides insight into design issues, county requirements, and negotiations among consultants, clients, and agencies.
Fred is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. He is a registered professional engineer in five states, a designated plans examiner for Loudoun County, and a LEED Green Associate.
