Todd M. Hay, PE, CME
Todd M. Hay, PE, CME, serves as Regional Vice President for New York, New Jersey, and New England and is the Office Director for our Newark, NJ office. He is responsible for client services and business development efforts for the office and manages the success and growth of the Northeast staff and projects. Todd has been working with multi-disciplined engineering projects during his nearly 23 year career as civil engineer, project manager, and principal. His work has included local and county transportation, utilities, traffic and recreation projects; K-12; college/universities; rooftop/ground mount solar projects, all within NJ; and a variety of private/public design and design-build projects within NJ, NY, CT, VT, NH, and NM. In addition to his design and construction experience, Todd has also provided expert witness testimony before local, county, and state authorities.
Mr. Hay serves as the appointed City, Planning, and Zoning Board Engineer in the City of East Orange and the Township, Planning, and Zoning Board Engineer in the Township of Nutley. Todd is also the appointed Board of Education Engineer for the Springfield Board of Education. In addition, he has served over 25 municipalities, 4 counties, and 10 public school districts as on-call engineer. He has served as principal-in-charge for private clients including Toll Brothers City Living, Simon Properties, Garden Homes, and Verizon, as well as many high profile architects. Also, Todd has been involved in high profile design-build projects, such the US Military Academy Preparatory School at West Point, NY, and the design and construction of Limited Ports Of Entry (LPOE's) on the Canadian and Mexican Border.
Todd earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Temple University and a master’s degree from the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) in urban and transportation engineering.
He is an executive committee member and President of the New Jersey Society of Municipal Engineers. He is a past Young Member Director, as well as Branch Secretary and Treasurer of the American Society of Professional Engineers, New Jersey Section, and North Jersey Branch. He is a Future Cities Mentor for Valley View Elementary School in Watchung, NJ, and is a member of the Board of Trustees for Bridgewater United Methodist Church.
Todd resides in Branchburg, NJ, with his wife and daughter, where he is the Planning Board Chairman, appointed Commissioner to the Somerset-Raritan Valley Sewerage Authority, and Architectural Advisory Board Member for the Township.
