Delaware Society Storage

DSM Commercial engaged Pennoni as their lead civil/site consultant in support of a 4-story, 90,000 SF self-storage facility project in Claymont, New Castle County, Delaware.  The proposed building is almost three times larger than that permitted by local Land Use Code and requires a significant dimensional variance.  Therefore, DSM engaged Pennoni to perform design visualization services to be used during presentations to the community groups and politicians as well as the Board of Adjustment.  The animation was a critical element in presenting the project to the public and was strategically done to show minimal impact to the surrounding landscape.  The local councilman went on record to say that he wished more applicants provided animations like this rather than stills/renderings as they illustrate the true impact of the project.  The Board of Adjustment unanimously approved the variance request, and we are moving forward with final land use approvals.
