Pennoni Announces Creation of Chief Growth Officer Role During Milestone Year

Mark T. Celoni Appointed to Newly Established Leadership Position

 

PHILADELPHIAPennoni, a multidisciplinary, 100% employee-owned engineering firm headquartered in Philadelphia, appointed Mark T. Celoni, PE, as executive vice president and chief growth officer (CGO). Celoni will lead Pennoni’s firmwide growth strategy, aligning market expansion, client engagement, marketing and business development initiatives across practices and regions.

As executive vice president, CGO, Celoni will provide strategic growth leadership across the organization, with responsibility for client and market development, pipeline and backlog management, and advancing firm-wide growth capabilities and culture. He will work closely with practice, regional and technical leaders to strengthen Pennoni’s market position while ensuring sustainable, long-term performance. The establishment of the CGO position represents a significant milestone in Pennoni’s strategic evolution and underscores the firm’s commitment to proactive leadership, disciplined growth management, and continued excellence.

With more than 35 years at Pennoni, Celoni brings deep institutional knowledge and proven leadership to the role. A regional vice president, he has been closely involved in the Philadelphia region’s central planning and engineering efforts since 1988, leading complex, multidisciplinary civil and site projects across a wide range of market sectors. His experience spans feasibility studies, master planning, environmental permitting, stormwater management, utilities, expert testimony, and construction support for projects throughout the Greater Philadelphia region.

A key component of Celoni’s role will include building and leading high-performing business development teams, as well as coaching technical leaders in growth strategy and client engagement. Through aligning people, processes and priorities, the role is designed to enhance visibility, responsiveness and value delivery across Pennoni’s markets and geographic footprint.
