Strategic Acquisition Adds Award-Winning Building Systems and Sustainability Expertise to Pennoni’s Integrated Services, Fueling Long-Term Growth

 

PHILADELPHIAPennoni, a multidisciplinary engineering firm headquartered in Philadelphia, is excited to share it has acquired the assets of Dagher Engineering, an award-winning building systems engineering and sustainability consulting firm based in New York City. The transaction, effective June 30, 2025, will integrate Dagher’s capabilities into Pennoni’s operations. Dagher Engineering will immediately operate as “The Dagher Engineering Division of Pennoni,” and its full staff will join the firm. This strategic move significantly broadens Pennoni’s service offerings and presence in the New York market, reflecting the firm’s long-term vision for growth and innovation in the region.

Dagher Engineering’s portfolio complements and extends Pennoni’s core services beyond traditional mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) services. Based at 29 Broadway in Manhattan, Dagher is recognized as an award-winning building systems engineering and sustainability consulting firm. Its comprehensive offerings include both fundamental building systems design and advanced high-performance services. Specifically, Dagher’s expertise includes:

  • HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and alarm, and low-voltage systems engineering
  • Passive House consulting, energy modeling and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis
  • Commissioning and start-up services
  • LEED certification and sustainability consulting
  • Special & Progress Inspections (for New York City projects)

These expanded capabilities complement Pennoni’s existing MEP practice, enabling the combined firm to deliver fully integrated, high-performance building solutions that drive client value and long-term resilience. Morrissey Goodale, a specialized management consulting and research firm exclusively serving the architecture, engineering, and environmental consulting industries, initiated the transaction and advised Dagher Engineering.

Pennoni’s existing New York office at 130 West 29th Street will remain the firm’s Manhattan headquarters, and Dagher’s office at 29 Broadway will serve as a second Pennoni office. The full Dagher Engineering team will join Pennoni, bringing their deep local expertise. The Dagher Engineering Division of Pennoni will integrate these resources to better serve clients statewide, blending Pennoni’s broad civil and infrastructure capabilities with Dagher’s specialized building systems and sustainability expertise.
