Jonathan Dayton High School in Springfield, NJ completed a $3.3 million facility including a new synthetic turf field which allows for football, soccer, lacrosse, and softball programs. In addition, a new 1,200-sf fieldhouse was constructed along with a 440-seat grandstand with press box and five tennis courts. New lighting, fencing, and utilities were part of the design and construction. Pennoni was responsible for the survey, civil engineering, and construction administration and support of the project.
Pennoni also provided a comprehensive investigation of masonry and flashing façade deficiencies at the school to supplement a limited investigation previously performed. The purpose for the comprehensive investigation was to provide the Springfield Board of Education an understanding on the health of the masonry façade and to provide a report for use as a planning tool for implementing and budgeting repairs.
