Interstate 85 (VA Border to Henderson, NC)
Interstate 85 received rehabilitation of 20 miles of L-line for a four-lane, divided Interstate Highway. Pennoni provided construction surveying services including computing and construction surveying layout for eight bridges, drainage improvements, shoulder widening, safety clearing of encroaching trees, temporary detours and crossovers, 85 miles of shoulder and pavement demolition and pavement reconstruction, and reconstruction under bridges to remain. This is a 36-month surveying project, intended for completion in 2018.
